Carnelian beaded smiley necklace (gold)

This carnelian beaded necklace holds a gold two-sided smiley pendant - happy on one side, sad on the other - as a daily reminder of the little things and people that can turn your mood around. Carnelian is a semi-precious stone which has been used in amulets and talismans throughout history due to its protective qualities.

The carnelian beads have been hand strung onto a strong silk thread and finished with a gold vermeil clasp.

The gold vermeil smiley pendant is hand carved from wax before being cast in sterling silver, hand finished and then and coated in a thick layer of 18ct gold.
